The Güldner A2K came onto the market in 1959 as the successor to the Güldner AK. Initially, it was given the nickname “Sprinter II”, after just one month it was assigned to the so-called “Europa series” and given the sales name “Spessart”.

There are the following sub-variants: A2KN (painted green, until about 1962) and A2KS (painted red). The A2KS was also available in blue from the factory. The successor to the Güldner A2KS, the Güldner G15, only has a new look in line with the G series, but remains technically identical.

The Güldner A2K was produced in a total of 3812 (including the model G15).
