The tractor was produced at an old Zeppelin factory in Friedrichs-hafen-Manzell in Germany. The L108 Junior's single-cylinder diesel engine was easy to service, and replacement parts were identical for Porsche's other two-, three- and four-cylinder tractor engines found in the larger, Standard, Super and Master models. Porsche tractors were designed with a fluid coupling to connect the engine to a six-speed transmission.
A facelift turned the Porsche A 111 into the performance-enhanced Porsche Junior 108. The K version had a wheelbase that was approx. 28 centimeters shorter than the L version. As a result, this model was designed for farmers who could do without the space between the axles. From 1958, the Voith fluid coupling was also available for this model, giving this variant the designation KH. Thanks to the oil-hydraulic clutch, one-man operation “Hydrostop" could now be used.
The tractor was also offered in an vineyard version – Porsche Junior 108-S
